A Paula Deen Recipe with NO BUTTER! *Gasp*

I usually tend to stray away from many Paula Deen recipes. I mean, they look delicious and all, but do I really feel like getting a triple-bypass surgery at 25? On the other hand, I’m definitely cool with peanut butter and I found a great Paula Deen peanut butter cookie recipe off of foodnetwork.com. I like the recipe because it really gives …

Counting Calories Suck.

Ok, maybe I’m being a tad harsh — heck, I’ve never counted calories as part of a diet anyways. However, a recent study conducted by researchers at Tufts University found that the foods they studied (frozen foods and restaurant meals) contained waaay more calories than claimed. Fecal bacteria in soda?! I told you soda was bad for you!

Looks like it’s not just the generous amounts of sugar in soda that makes it bad for you. A recent investigation of 30 soda fountain machines in Roanoke Valley, Virginia found alarming amounts of bacteria spewing (or “squirting” as the article graphically describes) out of these fountains into our XXL plastic cups. Oh no, it’s not just your average, albeit dangerous, e. coli type, but a specific fecal kind called coliform bacteria. And lots of it too. 70% of the samples contained bacteria, which 48% contained the coliform type. YUMMY.
I …
